8 September 2008, by Our third day had us visiting the town of Sitka. We planned an excursion of wildlife watching and a beach walk. The beach walk was great, our boat dropped us off on an island for about an hour for us to explore. Our naturalist pulled some starfish out of the water for everyone to look at. Once we reached shore again, we headed off to the raptor center where injured birds of prey are given a place to live or be rehabilitated so they can be released back into the wild.
