　　Crunchyroll是一家运营视频配信网站的风险企业，总部设在美国旧金山。今次以日本动画作为网站的主打内容，目标是进一步扩大营业规模。11月17日，Crunchyroll宣布与东京电视台结成合作伙伴关系，共同推出面向海外市场的《火影忍者》配信业务。以此为契机，Crunchyroll今后关于日本动画的配信业务也将会进一步扩大。

　　此外，Crunchyroll还在当天宣布将从2009年1月8日起停止接受无授权的视频上传。这是对一直以来批评该公司纵容侵权投稿的观点的一次积极回应。09年1月8日以后，该网站除授权视频以外，只接受个人制作视频的上传。这意味着Crunchyroll的商业模式将进行全面转变。之前靠违法上传的人气动画和电视剧来吸引用户访问量，将用户引导至其他内容。新的模式则将视频上传从主要业务中剔除，改之以授权动画的配信与SNS等社群服务为中心业务。今次Crunchyroll设立日本法人并决定新的业务方针，目标便是以动画业界为中心来扩大网站的知名度。
