[edit] Terence Newman is Not 100 Percent Healthy

5 September 2008, by Terence Newman may not start Sunday opening the door for Adam Jones and even possibly Orlando Scandrick to get major playing time. I would pay good money to see Scandrick get in the game and dominate. It would be a great sign for the Cowboys, and it makes Anthony Henry more expendible, if Scandrick can play.  Adam Jones, who in preseason looked a tad bit cold in coverage, won’t stay that way. However, him starting in week 1 could mean a big night for Derek Anderson et al. We’ll see.

[edit] Five bold predictions for the NFL season

4 September 2008, by By Nick Seuberling Seubs@pigskinpodcast.com We're in the predictions business, and here are my best guesses for the season ahead: 1. The Browns will not make the playoffs in 2008. The Browns are the chic team to make the postseason, but, unfortunately for Brownies backers, I just don't see that happening. In the face of a treacherous schedule, they appear to still have some questions at quarterback. Albeit short lived, Derek Anderson's "Cinderella" career may have possibly struck midnight,

[edit] NFL Fantasy Start or Sit Week 1: Whose time is it to shine, who should ride the pine?

4 September 2008, by I’ll admit, I’ve never been a huge fan of articles that try to predict who should start and sit on my fantasy team. There are so many scoring systems and sizes of leagues one man’s start can easily be another man’s sit. So why read this one? Three reasons: 1. I won’t waste your time with gems like “start Randy Moss this week.” If you needed that kind of advice, you really shouldn’t be playing fantasy football. 2. I won’t waste your time with kickers, tight ends, or defenses. In most leagues

[edit] So What Kind of Season Will Our QB Have?

3 September 2008, by Derek Anderson is the guy. He will play our favorite position (we've long had a soft spot for QB's) on our favorite team, and there is absolutely no changing that. Cleveland has invested in the young gunslinger, and he is the man that will lead the Browns into their next era. As we prepare for the opener against the Dallas Cowboys, let's examine how Derek Anderson might fare in the 2008 season. Last season, Anderson threw for 29 TD, 19 interceptions, and over 3,700 yards. That was good enough

[edit] Fantasy Football Fools’ 2008 Average Joe Mock Draft

3 September 2008, by I know it’s a little late to be posting a mock draft. Believe me. I know you all drafted already — well, hopefully, you drafted already. I wish I could have gotten this one edited sooner, but the rush of preseason football and real drafts took hold of me and delayed the posting. Next time, I’ll have to conduct the mock draft on a better system, NOT through tons and tons of ‘Reply All’ emails. Regardless, I did put together a mock draft that, if nothing else, makes for a nice discussion piece

[edit] Edwards and Anderson back on the practice field for the Browns

3 September 2008, by The Browns are an interesting team heading into this season.  I’ve heard a lot of people say they think the Browns will make the playoffs, while others have said they’ll be among the worst teams in football. Either way, they finally got some good news — Braylon Edwards and Derek Anderson both returned to the practice field.  They could be a lethal combination this season, so it’s great to see them playing together again. 3 September 2008, by When we last saw the Dallas offensive regulars, they were pushing to the edge of dominance against a young and rising Texans defense. The Cowboys first offensive series scored a touchdown. The second just missed a TD when a Tony Romo pass flew a foot or so beyond a wide open Terrell Owens. The third drive slashed to Houston’s two. There, six feet from an early knockout, Romo offered a jarring caveat to all the Cowboys fans dreaming of a Super Bowl run. He forced a first down pass to a well cov

[edit] Prognosticator Poll
