6 November 2008, by Lance Cpl. Christina Laurean, the wife of Cpl. Cesar Laurean, has been granted leave by the Marine Corps, to visit her husband in jail, in Mexico. Cesar Laurean has been accused of killing his pregnant colleague, Maria Lauterbach, and burying her in his backyard. Maria Lauterbach had accused him of raping her.
