21 November 2008, by I came across this ad for Yahoo! Search on Weather Underground, and, I don't know, I just found the name in the sample search box to be sort of... random. Not "barack obama" or "holiday recipes" or "homemade artillery"? But "braylon edwards"? Goofy.
21 November 2008, by I stared at my computer for about 45 seconds before starting to type this lead. What to say? Do I make a “Quinn’s broken finger” joke? 21 November 2008, by On today's weekend preview show, David Fucillo from Niners Nation joins Nick, Erik and Brian to gauge the progress of the San Francisco 49ers, who this year have seen some turmoil in their locker room but seem to be, temporarily of course, on something of a right track. David breaks down the Vernon Davis situation and forecasts what might be on the horizon for the team's quarterback situation, while our crew offers fantasy advice and makes their picks for the weekend's top college and pro gam

20 November 2008, by [GAMEBOOK] [Cleveland Plain Dealer] [ESPN: No Quit in these Browns][Further Review: Brady Quinn] For a long time I waited to see how this would end up. I wondered if we'd ever see it happen. I wondered if it was destined to only be a dream or a pigment of the imagination for football fans everywhere in northeastern Ohio. It did not happen exactly as it was planned; but go down in the history books it will. Brady Quinn gets his first win as the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback, on Monday Ni
20 November 2008, by As I've said before, Brady Quinn gives this team the best chance to win, but the defense gives this team the best chance to lose. Fortunately, on Monday night, the defense played just good enough not to lose the game (although, they tried their best to blow it). It was an exciting, yet ugly win. I'll take it, though. And, I hope the Browns can use it to build some momentum for the rest of the season. Passing out grades this week was tough, but someone has to do it: OffenseOffensive Line - The
19 November 2008, by redmanthatcould In a game of who could play second worst, the Browns just get by with a late 56-yard field goal make in front of a stunned Buffalo Bills packed crowd.
19 November 2008, by Maybe that title is a bit dramatic, but the Bills needed this win to keep pace with the 6-4 Patriots, and Dolphins (and the Dolphins are actually ahead of the Patriots, since they won their head-to-head game). Besides that, the Bills are playing the fucking 3-6 Browns - who expects them to actually lose? Especially coming off of three losses in a row, you think the Bills could step it up (at home, I might add) against the Browns. I am already talking all this smack about the Browns, but let’s n
19 November 2008, by I really think that the fantasy football craze has created a slew of better football fans. In the past, fans — myself included — would vote only for the players on their favorite team for the Pro Bowl. But not anymore. Thanks to a nation of fantasy football junkies, players from all sized markets are getting a ton of votes as evidenced by the early Pro Bowl returns. Drew Brees of the small-market New Orleans Saints leads all vote-getters, no doubt because he has been a fantasy stud across al

18 November 2008, by “Wide right” is the cruelest phrase a person can utter in western New York. Brady Quinn and the Browns used it to their advantage and escaped Buffalo with a narrow 29-27 win on Monday night. The victory moves Cleveland to 4-6 on the season and keeps its razor-thin-playoff hopes alive, while Buffalo’s setback drops them to 5-5 and last place in the AFC East. The game was back and forth from start to finish, and ultimately came down to a Bills missed field goal with under a minute remaining to

18 November 2008, by My little brother just summed it up completely: “When was the last time the Browns kneeled down?” What a relief of a victory. More than excitement or joy I just feel relieved. We had a lead, gave it away, came within inches of blowing a third straight heartbreaker…but finally we got a break at the end of a game tonight. It wasn’t perfect in any way, it doesn’t mean that the Browns have turned any corners, and it doesn’t mean that we can start talking seriously about the playoffs again (yet.).

17 November 2008, by By Erik Bell EBell@pigskinpodcast.com Last week, in the first part of my three-week series on the current state of the Cleveland Browns, I took a look at the past actions of the Browns' front office and how they are contributing to Cleveland's 3-6 record. This week, let's keep it simple and take a look at the present. What has happened this season that has made the Browns, at 3-6, one of the NFL's biggest disappointments? For starters, the Browns have faced one of the most difficult schedul
